It's Still a Great Day to be a Beggs Demon!

Get ready!

News from BHS Drama Instructor Kaylee Watson: I had a chance to go to Alyssa and Caedon’s dress rehearsal for the Discovery Awards tonight, and they did an amazing job! Their actual performance will be tonight at the Tulsa PAC at 6 p.m. I can send a link for tickets. Link is in comments.

2025-2026 Calendar

Future Golden Demon Baseball players cheering on their team as they left for Super Regionals this morning.
We will try and update you on scores from the games as our guys look for a trip back to State.

The special Board of Education meeting for tonight at 6 p.m. has been cancelled, but there will be an emergency meeting at 2 p.m. today.

Good Luck Demon Baseball as you head to Silo on Friday for Super Regionals.

The Ranger Rodeo Team of Northwestern Oklahoma State University signed Beggs High School Senior Bleu Hall recently.
Bleu earned a full-ride scholarship to compete for the school's rodeo team. Northwestern is located in Alva, OK.

Good Luck to our State track athletes who will be competing on Friday and Saturday in Ardmore.

Beggs High School standout softball player Angel Aylor signed to play for the Southeast Arkansas Sharks this morning.
Southeast Arkansas College (SEARK) is located in Pine Bluff, AR.
Beggs Head coach Danny Phillips had some inspiring words for Aylor:
"From the first pitch to the final out, you've worn the Demons jersey with pride, dedication and heart. Your legacy on the field will echo in every crack of the bat and cheer from the stands. College is the next chapter, but you will always be a Beggs Demon. It's been an honor watching you grow these past four years- not just as a player, but as a leader, a competitor, and a true Beggs Demon. You've left your mark on this program through your work ethic, your heart, and your love for the game. As you take the field in college, know that you carry the pride of your team, your school, and your coaches with you. Once a Demon, Always a Demon!"

Bagels, strawberries and juice are being enjoyed by BHS staff this morning. A big thank you to BHS parent Melinda Rios for blessing us during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Don't forget your child's medication in the nurse's office.

Some fans consider May 4 as Star Wars Day.
The phrase “May the 4th be with you” was used by fans in the years after the first Star Wars film was released in 1977.
The Beggs High School Drama Club took the opportunity to pay respect to the film on Sunday when the final performance of their spring musical just happened to take place on May 4.
Cast members used lightsabers and a Storm Trooper mask at times during the production. One prominent cast member even wore a Star Wars shirt in some scenes.
Stay tuned later this week for more articles on BHS Drama including a tribute to seniors, a special honor for a pair of cast members, and many more photos.

Way to go Champs!
Congratulations players and coaches.

Catch the Golden Demons today at 4 p.m.

You have 2 more opportunities to catch the BHS Drama Department's show. The production is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight and 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Orpheum Theater in Okmulgee.

It's going to be a busy week!

Good evening Demon Nation! Beggs Public Schools will be open tomorrow Friday the 2nd as normal. We will however not be able to run our Nuyaka bus routes.
