A trio of English/Drama students in Ms. Watson's classes recently won a scriptwriting contest and their stories were performed by professional actors in Tulsa.
Scripts by Emily Busby, Brooklyn Hazelwood, and Destiny Chisum were all read during the
Kids Sandbox: Student Script Live Reading
The readings were part of the 918 Day Film Festival and spotlighted the future of Oklahoma film and the students through a special Circle Cinema Sandbox edition.
Only six scripts, which were 3 to 10 pages long, were selected and read in the Circle Cinema Gallery. All were written by students under 18 years old.
Emily Busby was the only Beggs student able to attend the event in person.
