The Twin Hills Basketball Tournament continues tomorrow, Tuesday November 8th. The following is for the 6TH AND 8TH GRADE BOYS ONLY. 6th Grade Boys will leave from the HS Dome at 3:15 PM. Friday is Veterans Day. A Veteran is someone who has served in the military. You may need help from family or friends, but try to gather facts about a veteran (whether a family member or friend.) Which branch did they serve in-Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard. How many years did they serve? Did they serve in another country? What was their job? If you are able to speak with them, or text them, ask them this question-“Why did you, personally, sign up for the military?” Be mindful, that since the 1970’s , being part of our armed forces has been 100% voluntary. Record their answers on paper and be ready to share when we return to school. Please thank that veteran for their service to our country.

Please provide an introduction paragraph (state opinion), a body paragraph (state reason and example), and a conclusion paragraph (restate opinion). Your essay will have three (3) paragraphs in total. Remember a complete paragraph has a minimum of five (5) sentences. You may type up this essay on google docs or hand write it on lined paper. It will be due when we return to school.
