Write a descriptive paragraph (5-8 sentences). Describe your favorite AND least favorite Thanksgiving food without using the actual name of the food. The reader should be able to guess both food dishes from your descriptions. You should reveal your two food items in the last sentence of your paragraph.
Use sensory (sight, smell, hearing, taste, and/or touch) descriptive words to give readers a true understanding of your favorite AND least favorite Thanksgiving food items. Can be appetizers, salads, main courses, side items and/or desserts!!
May turn in through google docs or in paper form when we return to school.

This week we will be discussing verbs. Please find a newspaper article, magazine page, junk mail or any other piece of writing you can think of. Then, scan through the writing and circle or highlight all the verbs you find. Be prepared to turn it in tomorrow.

History....write a paragraph explaining which colonial area (New England colonies or Middle Colonies) you would have chosen to be a part of and tell why. Remember the New England colonies made everyone be a member of the church and only certain people could vote while the Middle Colonies offered more freedom of choice about religion.

Mrs. Huckabee's 1st hour English Language Arts Class. Assignment for Monday, November 14th. Brainstorm words and phrases that name or describe things that you are thankful for or have to do with the Thanksgiving Holiday. Write the word Thanksgiving down a sheet of paper and then write a word or phrase next to each letter. The poem does not need to rhyme. I have included my own Thanksgiving Acrostic Poem as an example. I hope everyone is doing well. Please bring the poem along with all the other assignments to class when we return.

FOR 7TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL ONLY-
7th grade girls basketball will play in the Championship Saturday, November 12th at Twin Hills. They will meet at the dome at noon tomorrow. Bus will leave at 12:05.
If any of the girls would like to come a little early, we will open the dome at 11:30.
