Just wanted to introduce myself to the Beggs Community. My name is Vaughn Blankenship, and I'm excited to be the new girls’ basketball coach. I'm super excited to see the girls grow and develop as a hard-working basketball team. I've been coaching for 20 years . I've been fortunate enough to coach in the state tournament. I've helped develop kids’ scoring skills, and that's resulted in multiple kids leading the state in scoring . I believe that serving one another and working for the success of the team is key. I teach everyone to be a star in their role. We will work hard in the off-season and build fundamental skills to ensure success this season. I got my master’s degree from Southern Nazarene and my bachelor’s degree from East Central University. I'll be teaching 5th grade social studies and a leadership class. I have four children and two grandchildren. My son, Redick, will be in the 8th grade this year as well. I am committed to the profession of teaching and developing kids into future leaders . I'm excited to be a part of the school and the community. The future is bright for these ladies .

TSA Nationals Update- Nashville 2025
These Beggs Demons proudly represented Oklahoma at the National Technology Student Association Conference in Nashville this past week!
After earning 1st place at State in the Off the Grid event, they went on to compete at nationals- an incredible opportunity to showcase their skills on a much larger stage.
They also competed in Technical Design and Problem Solving going head-to-head with some of the tip teams from across the U.S. and other countries.
While we didn't place this time our students walked away with valuable experience, unforgettable memories, and a renewed drive for innovation.
We couldn't be more proud of their hard work, creativity and professionalism.

Hello Beggs! I'm Coach Cody Pair. I was recently named Head Baseball Coach and Head Softball Coach. I have over a decade of high-level coaching experience. My teams have reached the state tournament nine times, with multiple semifinal and championship appearances. I am also proud to have coached a Class A State Championship baseball team in 2022. My coaching philosophy emphasizes intensity, structure, and resilience—values I believes prepare young people for success well beyond high school. At Beggs, I aim to establish a consistent, winning culture across both baseball and softball, while fostering academic excellence and leadership development in every student-athlete. “I’m honored to join the Beggs community and excited to build something special here." “Both programs have incredible potential, and I’m committed to helping our student-athletes grow as players and as people." I have been married to my wife, Amber, for 25 years. She will be teaching kindergarten at Beggs. We enjoy watching our sons Chase, 22 and Chance, 19 play baseball Chase, will be a senior playing at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith. Chance, will be a sophomore. "Hello Beggs! I’m excited to be back at Beggs Public Schools! I cannot wait to contribute to the special things in store for our boys basketball program! I previously coached at Preston for 2 years as an assistant, Beggs for 2 years as an assistant, and Twin Hills for 1 year as head coach. I was fortunate enough to win the ORES Division II State Championship with my team at Twin Hills! I hope to accomplish similar things at Beggs! I recently graduated from Northeastern State University this May and I am teaching 8th grade math this year which I’m very passionate about and super excited to do! I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Caitlin, for almost 3 years and we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Casley, in the world 7 months ago. I look forward to furthering the academic and athletic prestige of Beggs!

Beggs TSA had a big day with events. Our day started with our opening ceremony, presentation of all the flags of participating states and countries and officer candidates speeches, then turning in our Off The Grid project, pin trading and finishing the evening with the 24 hour Technical Design competition. This was a very long day for our students, but they are working hard and representing.

I’m excited to begin my teaching career at Beggs Public Schools! I recently graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Political Science, and I couldn’t have picked a better community to start this journey. I’ve been a proud member of the Okmulgee County community my whole life. I was the first Eagle Scout from Troop 102 and am an active member of the Knights of Columbus. At Okmulgee High School, I competed in speech and debate and was ranked among the top four in the state my senior year. I’m passionate about education and civic engagement, which is why I chose to teach high school social studies. In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and exploring new ways to learn. I also enjoy gaming and recently built a PC to help sharpen my skills as an esports coach. I’m honored to be joining Beggs and excited for a great year with the students, staff, and families!
