Congratulations, Beggs TSA students. They attended the Eastern Regional TSA contest in Miami, Ok. on Wednesday. This was a qualifying contest for several speaking events to participate at the state level. Our very own Makenzie B. participated in Prepared Speech and qualified for state in that event. She will now compete against 19 others at the state level for the top spots. We have 5 middle school students who will also be competing at the state level in various events for the top spots as well. Good luck to these students at the state contest in April.

Beggs family,
As we all know, this is the time of year when we see an uptick of cases of many illnesses. Although school attendance is crucial, it is important to remember that there are times when it is best for students to stay home to get better and to prevent the further spread of sickness.
Per district policy a child MUST stay home if they have:
* Fever >100.0
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Undiagnosed rash
* Pink eye or eye discharge
If your child appears to be too sick to be comfortable at school or to participate in learning activities or if you are concerned that they might spread a contagious illness to other children, please keep them home. As always, if you have any questions regarding the illness policy, please contact District Nurse Roach at 918-475-6161 x507. Thank you for your efforts in keeping BPS a safe and healthy school.
