Beggs Elementary teachers and staff members were all decked out in their cool new "It's Okay to Be Different" blue shirts. The shirts, coordinated by BES counselor Lauren Long, are in celebration of Autism Awareness Month in April.

Beggs Elementary wants to say THANK YOU! We are so proud of our readers! With your support, we were able to have a successful fundraiser and our students were able to enjoy reading. This year our students logged 184,407 minutes of reading! This is over 78,000 minutes more than last year! BES is the BEST!!! Beggs Elementary can't wait to host a Read-A-Thon again next year!
Thanks again,
Beggs Elementary

The BES Read-a-thon ticket buckets are getting full!! They are exited about the prizes!Today is the last day to log reading minutes and to turn in cash donations. The online donations will go thru Monday. Our kids have done an amazing job! We are proud of them! We thank you for all your help and donations!

What better way to kick off week #2 of our BES READ-A-THON than with a school wide DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time in the hallway with 478 cute kidos! At this point our students have read more than 118,000 minutes! BES READS THE BEST!! Way to go and many THANKS to all for the donations! Let’s keep it going this week!

BES is so exited about this years Read-a-thon! We are so proud of our students and the support you are giving them! As of now, our students have read nearly 70,000 minutes!!! Way to go BES! Here are some photos of some items purchased with last years Read-a-thon fundraiser money. With the new floors that were installed last summer, the classrooms needed area rugs for the kids to sit on during story time or center time. We also purchased Chromebook carts, new library books, classroom furniture, classroom supplies, musical scripts, backdrops, costumes for our musicals, paint to brighten up classroom walls, new signage by the front entrance, prizes for students, along with many other items that the students or teachers need for their classrooms. We appreciate the participation for our Read-a-thon because it keeps our teachers from spending their own money. BES thanks you!!!

Beggs Elementary has decided to hold a Read-a-thon again this year!
Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more. Our Read-a-thon starts Monday March 20, 2023. We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read & helps in the development of stronger reading skills. We hope EVERYONE participates. More information is being sent home today. Thanks so much,
Beggs Elementary
