Beggs High School Business Professionals of America student Sydney Byers earned 1st place this week for her project in Economic Research - Secondary Schools.
Byers, who serves as the secretary of the local BPA chapter, was competing at the BPA State Leadership Conference.
"I think it's amazing to be able to represent Beggs and do so well," said Byers. "But I will say that it wasn't all me."
Byers gives a lot of credit to Beggs BPA Advisor Darla Six.
"Mrs. Six has helped me with all of it and been the absolute best," she said. "And of course , I wrote the paper but it was truly the Lord who made my words clear."
