AP English Class Presents Version of Shark Tank

On November 2, Mrs. Shaw's AP English Language class presented their version of "Shark Tank" presentations. Working in groups, they came up with ideas to better our school and/or community. They have been studying rhetorical strategies in class, so this was an opportunity for them to put those persuasive techniques into practice. Each group presented a 10 minute pitch to our own "Sharks," five staff members, including superintendent, Shawn Tennyson, and principal, Autumn Caldwell. Group members had to be prepared for tough questions. They all did an excellent job, but, in the end, the judges/sharks selected one presentation which they felt was the most beneficial to our school or community. Congratulations to Braden Williams, Lynley Hudson, Morgan Busby, and Addie Adkison for their first-place presentation on a School Spirit Point System.
